Terms of Service

By accessing this site, submitting your song, or participating in a Charisma Cypher event, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or participate in the event.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit a song or perform at a Cypher event. By submitting, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal right to share the music you submit.

Submitting your song does not guarantee selection. We curate every event and select a limited number of artists. Event 1 is free to submit — no fees, no pay-to-play.

By submitting, you confirm that you own or have cleared all rights necessary to perform your song at a live event and to allow Charisma Cypher to record and publish footage of that performance.

You retain ownership of your music and your performance. You grant Charisma Cypher a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to record, edit, reproduce, distribute, and display audio, video, and photography of your performance and likeness for the purposes of promoting the Cypher, the artists, and future events.

The Charisma Cypher name, logos, brand assets, and site content are owned by Charisma Cypher. You may not copy, modify, or use them without written permission, except where we credit you in content we share with you.

The circle only works when everyone respects everyone in it. By participating in a Cypher event, you agree to:

• Treat every artist, attendee, and crew member with respect.
• Refrain from harassment, hate speech, threats, or violence of any kind.
• Follow venue rules and instructions from Cypher staff.
• Perform sober enough to actually perform.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from an event — or to decline future submissions — for behavior that violates this code.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information.
• Submit music you do not have rights to.
• Interfere with the site, attempt to bypass security, or scrape data.
• Use the site for anything illegal.

You acknowledge that Cypher events are recorded. By attending or performing, you consent to being filmed and photographed and to the use of that content as described in our Privacy Policy and Section 4 above. If you do not consent, you should not attend or perform.

The site and events are provided "as is." Charisma Cypher makes no warranties — express or implied — about the site, the selection process, the production results, or any outcome that may or may not follow your participation in an event.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Charisma Cypher and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site or participation in an event. Our total liability for any claim related to the site or an event is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

You agree to indemnify and hold Charisma Cypher harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your submission, your performance, or your conduct at an event — including, without limitation, claims related to the rights in the music you submit.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site, your submission, or your participation in any event at any time and for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site or participation in a Cypher event after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Charisma Cypher operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
