When you submit your song through Charisma Cypher, we collect the information you give us directly. That includes your artist name, email address, song title, song link, city, Instagram handle (optional), and anything you choose to share in the "Why do you want to be in the Cypher" field.

When you attend a Cypher event, we capture audio, video, and photography of performances and the room. We may also collect basic technical information when you visit this site — things like browser type, device, and pages viewed — to keep the site working and to understand how artists find us.

We use the information you give us to:

• Review and respond to your submission.
• Coordinate event logistics with selected artists.
• Send you updates about future Cypher events and opportunities.
• Produce, edit, and publish content captured at the event.
• Tag and credit you on content we share publicly.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

By attending or performing at a Charisma Cypher event, you grant Charisma Cypher the right to record, edit, and distribute audio, video, and photography in which you appear, for the purpose of promoting the Cypher, the artists involved, and future events. This includes posting content on social media, broadcast networks, and partner channels.

If you'd like a specific clip removed after publication, email us and we'll review the request in good faith.

We share the minimum information needed to run the event. That can include trusted service providers — for example, our backend, email, and analytics tools — and partners like venues, broadcast networks, and sponsors when relevant to an event you've opted into.

We share information when required by law, to protect the safety of artists and staff, or to enforce our Terms of Service.

Submissions are stored in a secure database with role-based access controls. Only authorized Charisma Cypher team members can view submission data. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure — we ask that you only submit information you're comfortable sharing.

You can:

• Unsubscribe from event emails at any time using the link in our messages.
• Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Request that we delete your submission data.

We use lightweight analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve the experience. These tools may set cookies in your browser. You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings — the site will still work.

Charisma Cypher events are intended for artists 18 and older. If you are under 18, please do not submit a song without permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site or participation in a Cypher event means you accept the current version.
